A richly flavoursome rum from the Philippines, inspired by the story of Papa Isio, who played a big part in the late-19th century Philippine revolution. The rum itself is made using sugar cane grown on the island of Negros in the Philippines and matured in oak barrels before its blended and bottled.
Fruity notes up front, with sweet tangerines and apricots. This is followed by vanilla ice-cream, drizzled with runny toffee sauce.
Bags-full of vanilla and cinnamon. Hints of raisin, sultana and marmalade.
Medium length with punchy cinnamon.
Rather exciting stuff.
Bumped into this accidently, very refreshing ( by that I mean ‘different’ ) take on rum - yes it is sweet, but added to a small range of rum options at home makes for a regular opportunity to indulge in a swerve away from standard. I sincerely love it slotting in amongst a varied choice of country specific flavour and strengths.
Very heavy vanilla base but absolutely delightful for my sweet tooth. I got a sample shot of it ages ago and just tried it. Immediately one of my new favourites and just ordered a bottle!
It's a way over sweet rum. If you can call it rum ? Drop some coke in a glass and top of with this.. you will be more than happy
Very vanilla tasting. Hides the taste of the rum very easily.
Wow this was sweet. To the point of nasty. Not ideal what palette would like this. Avoid.
