A richly flavoursome rum from the Philippines, inspired by the story of Papa Isio, who played a big part in the late-19th century Philippine revolution. The rum itself is made using sugar cane grown on the island of Negros in the Philippines and matured in oak barrels before its blended and bottled.
Fruity notes up front, with sweet tangerines and apricots. This is followed by vanilla ice-cream, drizzled with runny toffee sauce.
Bags-full of vanilla and cinnamon. Hints of raisin, sultana and marmalade.
Medium length with punchy cinnamon.
Rather exciting stuff.

A lovely sipping rum, but not for those who don't like a sweeter rum with strong notes of vanilla. We go back to this rum often, but I wouldn't say it's for the rum connoisseurs out there. We usually have it in the middle of the table to sip on during a game of dominoes or Cards Against Humanity for a slower, more relaxed sip that's not too intense.
Tasted like someone filled the barrel with cheap bubblegum flavoured boiled sweets, then added loads of artificial sweetener. Whatever rum was in there was barely discernable under the E numbers For me, it was every bit as horrible as that sounds
MoM sent me a free dram of this with a recent order and I can see why they are giving it away! Not sure what the hell this is but it isn't like any rum I have ever tasted. Smells and tastes like a cream soda. Ridiculously sweet and sickly even after a few sips.
Too sweet for my taste. Plus I'm not a cinnamon fan
One of the best rums I have tasted.
