Atlantico Private Cask is a rich, thick blend of small batch rums, aged up to 25 years old. Oak, dark berry and toffee notes a-plenty. Also, the Atlantico brand is endorsed by the singer Enrique Iglesias, which is neat.
Sweet vanilla and coconut ice, with red berry jam developing later on.
Rich molasses, stewed blackcurrants and raspberries, caramel, a hint of cassia and five-spice.
Maple syrup and crunchy pear lasts.

Smooth and balanced
I had very low expectations for this rum because I tend to not trust any spirits endorsed by celebrities that aren't making the product themselves. I have to admit that I enjoyed this very much. I was smooth and goes down easy. Too easy. There are vanilla notes, but there was a sweetness that stood out to me that reminded me a bit of real MAPLE syrup. Not corn syrup... high quality maple like from Canada. I suspect it is a solera blend of rums up to 25 years and not a spirit that is entirely 25 years old. It was incredibly smooth and not harsh at all. It will have a permanent place in my bar.
I got a sample of this in the rum advent calendar 2015. I would say this should not have been included. Possibly as a blender - but as such there are more tasty ones at a lower price.
Best rum I have tried. Now my personal favorite.
Aged 25 year? Um, no. This is a bottle of vanilla essence mixed with rum. Avoid. This is not rum.
