If you think captain morgan is a good rum then this rum will be wasted on you. I have been lucky enough to visit the Appleton estate and tried the 3 different aged rums they bottle and for me personally this is my favourite. Worth every penny. And as a taste note drink neat over ice or with ginger beer and a cube of good quality ginger chocolate.
only just getting back into spirits after several years following the the red-wine rabbit down his DEEP hole... so, bought this as a present for my brother-in-law & was delighted when it was cracked open immediately - sweet and mellow over ice... shame I'm not actually on a Caribbean beach, watching a multicoloured sunset. 'Cos that's exactly what this one reminded me of... not sure about the described mixture of flavours, but this is a proper Jamaican rum & if that's your personal bag, give it a whizz... you will NOT be disappointed, simply delicious. Nice work Appleton Estate chums, bravo...
I’m normally a whiskey drinker but I went on Appletons rum tour which was totally ACE and now I drink Appletons rum drinker .
The best , tryed alot of rums but this is still the best by far.
Tried this at Christmas, and so good. And it makes the best rum punch. Looking forward to the next bottle.
