
An eight-year-old rum, column distilled from sugar cane and fully matured in bourbon barrels in the tropical climes of the Dominican Republic. The rum was bottled by Solar Reserve, which prioritises sustainability when selecting producers to work with. Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, where this rum was distilled, is one of the pioneers in the reuse of bagasse (sugar cane pulp left over after the juice is extracted) as a biomass fuel, producing an impressive 96% of its electricity used throughout the year from biomass and solar panel power.
Rich layers of toffee, toasted oak, and coconut join hints of chocolate praline, spiced orchard fruit, and creamy vanilla.
