Rumbullion! is an extraordinary cockle-warming spiced rum, but those clever Ableforth's folks have changed the game with this limited edition Chilli & Chocolate expression! Criollo cocoa nibs, chipotle chillies and jalapeño chillies join the original Rumbullion! medley of Caribbean rum, Madagascan vanilla, orange peel, cassia, clove and cardamom, resulting in an indulgent and spicy flavour profile. Excellent served over ice, and it makes some marvellous cocktails too. Also, we reckon it'll be stunning as a winter warmer splashed in a hot chocolate...
Intense bittersweet dark chocolate leads with coffee beans, nutmeg, red cola cubes and orange zest in support. Earthy red chilli warmth emerges underneath and is balanced by creamy vanilla.
Black Forest gateau, drying cocoa and more thick slabs of dark chocolate are at the core, with gingerbread, cherry cola and hints of aniseed and clove in the back-drop.

Really interesting and unusual drink, very chocolatey, would rather it had more of a chilli kick but it’s got a hint. Tried it as a single without mixer, I’m not sure it would work that well with coke or other things. I think it’s best treated like an after dinner shot or short drink.

Beautifully smooth rich dark brown rum with the very distinctive Rumbullion taste of cloves in the background. The chocolate cones through almost immediately, and then a wonderful heat from the chilli, which is balanced perfectly to be both subtle but also a definite hit on your palate. Only drank this meat as it seemed a shame to add a mixer. No doubt it would make a superb Dark n Stormy with a really good ginger ale, ice, and a massive wedge of lime.
