A very impressive vintage Port from Ramos Pinto, made with grapes crushed by foot, no less! It's made from a blend of 60% touriga nacional, 15% tinta roriz, 10% tinta barroca, with the final 15% made up of a ‘field blend’ of some of the other 70 native varieties. It's then rested for 20 months in a range of large old oak, chestnut, and mahogany casks before bottling. Very decadent stuff, sure to be a hit alongside rich desserts.
Homemade berry jam, cocoa, chewy liquorice, and cinnamon.
