A remarkable 40 year old Tawny Port from Noval, with the grapes trodden by foot before fermentation. A blend of old Ports from different vintages, matured in oak casks.
Dried mango, dates and apricots, vibrant orange zest, vanilla and hazelnuts with notes of sage and honey.
One of the best bottles of booze - of any kind - I've ever bought. Incredibly rich and layered. Great with dessert, cheese or just on its own. Well worth the price tag.
Fabulous tawny port; well balanced, zesty, honeyed and herbaceous. I couldn't recommend it enough.
