Octomore 15 launches
What makes Octomore special
Octomore is a distinctive whisky known for its extreme levels of peatiness (measured in parts per million (PPM) of phenols), which have earned it a reputation as one of the peatiest whiskies in the world.
Its cult status, combined with Bruichladdich’s innovative approach to production, has made Octomore a standout in the world of single malt Scotch whisky. It gets its name from the nearby farm of the same name and the barley used to make Octomore is often locally sourced.
Now a new batch is here, the 15 series, which features three products:
Introducing: Octomore 15.1
Octomore 15.1
Octomore 15.1 was peated to 108.2 PPM and then aged in a combo of first-fill bourbon barrels and re-charred bourbon casks to extract as much character from the wood as possible. It was bottled at 59.1% ABV.
