Maker's Mark Cellar Aged 2024 Release
The vision of Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged 2024
It’s not the number, but the character makes a bourbon. Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged is a whisky that flips the script on age statements. Challenging the industry to measure greatness by flavour, not just years, Cellar Aged is a celebration of experiences and expertise, with an emphasis on taste.
The whisky world is obsessed with age, but Maker’s Mark has never played that game. The bourbon is aged to taste, not to clock up years. With the launch of Cellar Aged, a bold 12- and 13-year Maker’s Mark bourbon, it invites you to think differently about ageing – it’s all about flavour, not a number.
Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged 2024
What makes Cellar Aged different? The journey begins in its limestone whisky cellar at Star Hill Farm. This unique environment creates a slow, gentle maturation, where the barrels continue to age at their own pace, allowing oxidation to enhance the whisky while keeping tannins in check. It’s a meticulous process that produces a bourbon aged by nature, not by pressure – giving you a truly one-of-a-kind taste experience.
Maker's Mark Cellar Aged 2024 Release
Ageing whisky for over 10 years wasn't something Maker’s Mark ever did. Not because the brand didn’t believe it, but because it hadn’t found a way of doing it that protected the integrity of the whiskey.
But by embracing the unique impact its warehouse and cellar maturation have on flavour, Maker’s Mark can create an older expression in the hot Kentucky climate that is richer and more complex whilst staying true to the founder's taste vision of bourbon without the bite.
The 2024 Release of Cellar Aged is an artistic blend of 12- and 13-year-old barrels to achieve the taste vision for a brighter, fruitier and more complex Maker’s Mark.
