Brought to you by the chaps from top London bar, the Worship Street Whistling Shop, in partnership with Master of Malt, Jagertee Liqueur is a stupendous Indian-Tea-and-Rum-based concoction that's created with the finest ingredients, harking back to the days of the old Raj. The recipe for this tremendous libation includes the very best white rum and black tea, to which are added seeds, nuts and spices. The blend is infused with top-quality Sherry Oak staves. The result is best served straight-up for the ultimate winter warmer.
A rewarding nose that jumps out like sweet spiced rum but there's much more going on here as rum cake and toasted poppy seeds develop, followed by sweet cherry, raspberries and rumtopf. Walnut richness is evident also, followed finally by unmistakable notes of black tea.
Pudding notes are balanced with the tea, toasted nuts, toasty spices and tannic grip from the wood influence. A lick of chilli is present on the tail.
Peppered fruit with those poppy seeds returning. Slightly drying and satisfying in the manner of tea, even if the tea notes themselves are more difficult to place at the end.
Tremendous and original on its own, Jagertee Liqueur also shines in cocktails, and was used in a number of bespoke creations at the Worship Street Whistling Shop itself.
Many layers of soft yet intense flavours. Best neat and when you have a sudden feeling for it's unique taste, so the bottle should last a while.
