Delicious Sicilian Blood Orange liqueur created by Master Distiller Lesley Gracie (creator of Hendrick's Gin!). It's made exclusively on the island from the ripest blood oranges grown on Mt. Etna. These subsequently have their oils extracted at the Agrumeria Corleone, family run since the mid 1800s. Simply put, they're making an offering you can't refuse!
Very raw alcohol flavor, and very little of the sweetness one would expect from a liqueur. Although the orange notes are very distinct/unique, overall it lacks body and complexity. I will not be purchasing again... trying to figure out what to do with the bottle I've just opened.
I never liked Cointreau much in my Margaritas for its sharp alcohol-like taste to drown out any high end tequila. I got to know Solerno in Dallas and I found it much more complex and less dominant in taste than also the Grand Marnier to fit perfectly in Classic Margarita based drinks. The best for a cooling summer drink! I still use Grand marnier for my Ginger Margaritas though. Therefore it fits well with its heavy and warm taste.
nowhere near cointreau and a mile behind gran marnier.lacking in fuit and body.high in weak raw spirit.overpriced.if it was a third of the price i would not buy it again
Absolutely sublime. A number of different levels of tasting notes as liqueuer settle in you mouth. A truly spectacular flavor. Only St.Germain rates as well in the world of Liqueurs....BRAVO!
Much better than Cointreau - really warming liqueur with enormous orangey hits.
