Inspired by traditional red Italian bitters, Granada-Vallet from Hidalgo, Mexico is a fabulous bitter liqueur. Made with all-natural ingredients including the likes of wormwood and gentian root balanced with orange and lime, this has plenty of tart fruit and herbal spice going on. The colour is achieved with the use of Oaxacan cochineal, a tiny South American bug, which is used to make the natural colourant, carmine – as we said, this is an all-natural Mexican liqueur! Should be spot on for sipping after a spicy supper, and ideal for Negronis and the like.
Tart pomegranate and orange peel, tangy lemon zest, sweeter lime, and dark cherries, bittersweet with drying herbal spice and vegetal layers.
