The return of the Old Pulteney whisky liqueur! It's been revived and rejuvenated as the Old Pulteney Stroma, named after a Scottish island just off the North East coast where the Pulteney distillery resides. The island's name originates from the Norse phrase "island in the stream", in reference to the notably dangerous waters surrounding it, which is alluded to in the Stroma's beautiful windswept packaging.
Old Pulteney's Stroma has been bottled at a higher strength than their previous whisky liqueur. It is made with a blend of whiskies from the maritime distillery's selection, resulting in a sweet, robust liqueur. Served over ice, it's an excellent drink that's perfect to sip while broodingly staring out into the ocean.

One of the best whiskey liqueur I have tasted, once tried never forgotten.
We bought some at the duty free at Gatwick airport and can't find it anywhere in BC-have just discovered it's available in Saskatchewan-but ti's so far from home :-(( It is just so smooth-too bad it's not more widely available. Also Bruadar also not on the shelves here!!!
Tryed this whisky liquor for the first time. Bought it at Gretna on way back from holiday. What a find. Smooth as silk. Love it with or without ice. Altho my wife prefers the Bruadar liquor.. which is just as nice. And has a more honey and Heather taste to it. Two fabulas tasting whisky liquor everyone should try.
On its own not my really my taste but drop in some ice and it is really lovely.
I was coming through the duty free shop at Edinburgh airport and Old Pulteney Stroma caught my eye. So glad I picked up a bottle of this delightful nectar. Poured over some ice it is smooth and mellow with not an over powering whisky flavour, not that there is anything wrong with a straight Malt I must add. An absolutely delightful and very moreish liqueur that I will certainly buy again.
