Triple Sec is a vital ingredient in many well known cocktails. From Sidecars to Margaritas, all sorts of drinks call out for the intense citrus notes of a Triple Sec. This one comes from De Kuyper in the Netherlands, made using both sweet and bitter orange peels.
The sweet, slightly sugary notes of fresh oranges appear at first, followed by the light bitterness lingering on the palate.
I know this is probably a sign of my brutish palate but I really like this neat over ice, although I mostly use in cocktails. Sharp and orangey with a little hint of bitter going down. I, personally, prefer this to Cointreau.
Lovely Triple Sec with a fresh, orange note throughout and carries wonderfully well through cocktails.
