Leiper’s Fork Whiskey – Proudly Bottled in Bond

In the rolling hills just south of Nashville sits the village of Leiper’s Fork – charming, historic, and now home to one of the most exciting names in American whiskey. Founded by Lee Kennedy, Leiper’s Fork Distillery is an independent, family-run operation that’s quietly fuelling a Tennessee Whiskey revival.

Back in 2009, Kennedy and others successfully campaigned to overturn laws that restricted distillation to just three counties in Tennessee. That opened the door for a new wave of whiskey-making – one that doesn’t play by the rules of the bigger names.

Since filling its first barrel in 2016, Leiper’s Fork has been on a mission to resurrect the small-batch, pot-distilled whiskey styles that once flourished in Middle Tennessee before Prohibition. These are whiskies made the slow way – using a sweet mash rather than sour, a low barrel entry proof, and with full respect for the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897.

It’s whiskey that’s unmistakably Tennessee. Just maybe not the Tennessee you’re used to.
