6 Year Old Corenwyn Bottling Note

6 year old Corenwyn jenever, which literally means "grain wine" and is mostly made of distilled malt and flavoured with juniper, from the talented Dutch distillers, Bols. They age this Corenwyn for 6 years in a mix of American oak and French Limousin casks.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Herbal and earthy. Thyme and oak.

Palate: Light notes of juniper surrounded with more grassy, herbal notes of coriander. Vanilla adds a little sweetness.

Finish: Pine freshness remains.

Overall: Rustic and rather tasty.

Bols 6 Year Old Corenwyn Reviews

Would make 'Udolpho Wolfe' a very happy man!

Not normally into this type of gin as I tend toward the export strength London Dry style. Having said that I am pleasantly surprised by the calibre of this "Liqueur". There is definite sweetness which hopefully is not abject dosage! Drank it after it being refrigerated and believe this enhances the experience. Does not have the sharpness or full throttle of the "L.D." but is very unctuous and mellow with a pleasing aroma and goes down VERY easily. Needs an extra 5% of alcohol by volume in my opinion to mix it with the big boys!
