The harmony of Hibiki
Hibiki Japanese Whisky, meaning “resonance” was launched in 1989 to commemorate Suntory’s 90th anniversary. Since then, it has come to represent a certain level of quality and craft in blended whisky. Marrying fine malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's distilleries. The Japanese favourite has created something greater than the sum of its parts, a whisky that is beloved across the world. Even people who don't like whisky will drink Hibiki. That's what you get when you achieve a true harmony of flavour.
That kind of artistry results in something worthy of acclaim, and there simply isn't room on this page to list all the major awards the brand has won. Here's something of a snapshot:
Hibiki Japanese Harmony has won Gold at the International Spirits Challenge in 2025 and 2024, with Hibiki 30 Year Old receiving a Double Gold medal at the same awards in the same years, as well as a Japanese Whisky Trophy in 2023. At the World Whisky Awards, the latter also got Best Japanese Blended Whisky 2026, and between it Hibiki 21 Year Old, they have won the competition's World’s Best Blended Whisky award More than 7 times between 2007–2019.
Craftmanship makes a special bottle
It's not just what's in the bottle that makes Hibiki so popular. Hibiki Japanese Harmony

This Japanese blended whisky is made with malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from the Chita distillery. The whiskies are drawn from five different types of cask, including American white oak casks, sherry casks and Mizunara oak casks.
The Master Blender tastes over 100 malt samples to decice which make the cut. It all adds up to something elegant, approachable, and delicious. Harmony by name...
Tasting Notes
Nose:
Red berries, green apple and layers of rich honey.
Palate:
Melted butter and caramelised dates. A hint of fragrant sandalwood develops into warming, oaky spice.
Finish:
Brown sugar, citrus peels, white grape, and black pepper.
