Glen Scotia Festival Release 2025

Crafted for the 2025 Campbeltown Malts Festival, this limited edition Glen Scotia is a heavily peated single malt that was initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and then had a five-month finishing flourish in Ribera del Duero red wine casks. Just six weeks of the year are dedicated to peated spirit at the distillery, making this a rare treat indeed.

This single malt kicks off with Glen Scotia’s classic coastal charm and creamy vanilla before the red wine casks dial things up with layers of juicy blackberry, ripe red fruits, and a touch of liquorice. Peat smoke weaves through it all, giving way to a velvety finish that hangs about in all the right ways. It was bottled non-chill filtered at 54.3% ABV.

Glen Scotia Icons of Campbeltown – 14 Year Old (Saint Michael & the Dragon)

The second release in Glen Scotia’s Icons of Campbeltown series takes inspiration from local legend and centuries-old stonework. This medium-peated single malt is a tribute to Saint Michael, who slayed a dragon. According to the carvings on Campbeltown’s historic market cross, at least…

Matured for 14 years and finished for six months in Barolo red wine casks, it’s a powerful dram bottled at a punchy 56.8% cask strength. Expect layers of red fruit, smoke, and spice.

Glen Scotia 25 Year Old

A whisky that’s earned its stripes – and then some. The Glen Scotia 25 Year Old is a multi-award-winning Campbeltown classic, matured entirely in American oak and bottled at 48.8% ABV.

It’s all about refinement and complexity: salted toffee, orchard fruit, vanilla, and maritime salinity wrapped in subtle oak spice and whispery smoke. A fitting example of what long-aged Glen Scotia can do – and one of the best reasons to enter this competition.
