This dry, juniper led gin tastes like it has been designed for the much loved G&T. This exceptional gin starts life as Chase's Potato Vodka, but is then combined with a selection of 10 botanicals - the likes of juniper, almond, angelica, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, coriander, ginger, lemon peel and liquorice root. Boasts a good balance of spice and citrus, with the all-important juniper commanding the room.
The aroma is fittingly juniper forward with warm spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.
The palate is dry and full-bodied with a citrus quality with spice at the back, followed by a large helping of juniper.
The finish retains that ever present spiciness but with a refreshing touch of citrus zest and a hint of apple.
This well-constructed gin displays refreshing notes of citrus with warm spice, and makes for a fantastic G&T.
I have had many gin and tonics, over many years, with many different garnishes, different concentrations, different ice sizes...you know what I mean. This is one of my favourite gins. I really don't like the Elegant Crisp Gin. This on the other hand, is their best expression, in my opinion - Mifune
A good standard gin, nice and clean. Acker score 4/5
I did it, with a thin slice of ginger and cardamomo. Very freshy, heighten citrus
I'd like to know how recently you have tasted this gin? My partner and I were huge fans and we had a bottle that just tasted as if had lost its citrus flavour and gained a more spirit tast of brandy or schnapps. We contacted Williams and they sent another bottle which is slightly better however, alas, just not the same in our opinion and we are hugely disappointed. I would be interested to have your thoughts. Williams did advise they have changed their process recently
