All the way from the Welsh Marches comes Wardington's Ludlow Dry Gin, created by Shaun Ward in a pair of copper stills - charmingly named Joy and Felicity. It's built around four core botanicals - juniper, coriander, orris and angelica - with support coming from lemon, orange, cardamom and hand-picked gorse flowers. Ought to be great for cocktails, or simply serving in a G&T garnished with a good whack of lime.
Drying juniper earthiness balanced by fresh citrus brightness. Gorse brings an elegant floral hint to the palate, with a fragrant kick of coriander.

I absolutely love it! It holds its own with just a plain tonic, ice and a wedge of lime. Lime definitely enhances the depth of flavour and it has a smooth yet robust length on the palate. My only criticism is that the bottle empties too quickly!
Fantastic gin and tonic, great martini; top, top gin!
