Umodzi
Umodzi Gin is a superb expression featuring a host of ingredients from across Africa, and distilled in Johannesburg, South Africa. The base spirit is made from sugarcane from Eswatini, and its botanicals include three types of cardamom (from Cameroon, Ghana, and Ethiopia), Moroccan coriander seed, mango from Malawi, black pepper and orchard nutmeg from Nigeria, and plenty more. Brilliantly flavoursome and complex, and it's excellent for use in cocktails and G&Ts.
Earthy spices arrive first, with a touch of peppery heat building. Fresh mango and soft citrus sweetness mellows the spice, with oily juniper bringing it all together.

Really lovely sweet and smooth gin not tasted anything like this before. Worth every penny we’ll spend.
A tasty gin with a nice, long and smooth finish. Different vibe for sure. Cool option to have at home.
The design of the bottle is incredibly striking and luxurious, honestly I feel like I should be on a yacht with this bottle, it's so boujee. I checked their website and the story behind the brand and the impact Umodzi appears to be making in Africa is dope. I actually didn't want to open up the bottle, it looked better on my gin shelf... in the end I did and the taste was really good. I get mango on the nose, citrus on the palette and finessed with a mellow spice... mmmm mm. They out did themselves on this one, it's a keeper and getting a re-order.
Such a classy, elegant, tasty, wonderful drink. Sits on the top shelf of my drinks cabinet now. The gin itself is very unique, with a hint of spice and citrus. Love it.
