    Excellent gin

Superb gin and very good flavour

    The best gin out there

The absolute king of gins in my book. Have been trying a lot of good new gins since the lockdowns began and although some are excellent, none of them can topple Gunpowder. Bit of fever tree, ice and a wedge of lime or grapefruit = heaven

    Light and crisp

I'm admittedly a light gin drinker and prefer my scotch and whisky. There is a lot happening on this bottle. A jackalope, some traditional Asian, the powerful word "GUNPOWDER" in all caps, and "Irish". So what does all of this mean... the scots do not have a lot of renown for tantalizing gin, but the Irish seem to have found a niche... "Oriental botanicals"... this caught my eye, as my favorite gin is currently of Irish brew (Glendalough) and sourced locally. I haven't dug too far into this, nor am I seasoned enough to speak to it, but I'm surprised that Drumshanbo being so close to the Shannon hasn't elicited a more local source; anywho, Rigney was a traveler I suppose so that lends to the brand. "Gunpowder'... gunpowder tea, which is a rolled green tea, and rather delicious. This was the reason I bought this bottle initially. The tea flavor in this gin is nothing short of perfect. It is very well balanced with the other flavor notes and does well neat, which is the only way I drink. Might be a fantastic mixer for green tea-style drinks, but I won't find myself doing that... The combination of lemon, lime, and grapefruit is subtle. The gunpowder is heavy enough to mellow out any astringent flavor and give you a nice front, and back end profile.

Cracking gin for true gin lovers

clean, unique and refreshing - this has rapidly become my favourite gin. Highly recommend over ice or with a plain unflavoured indian tonic. The tea in the mix is perfect

Complex and clean - new top 5 gin.

Tried this in a moment waiting in Dublin airport. Lifelong gin fan but not a fan, per the current tend, of over-flavouring it. Wasn’t expecting much but was totally won over, and is now on the personal top five list. Clean, clear but complex botanicals. Makes a fresh interesting G&T and more.
