A 70cl bottle of the splendid Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin from Ireland's Shed Distillery. Made with an array of botanicals such as juniper, angelica, orris, caraway, coriander, meadowsweet, cardamom and star anise as well as vapour infused oriental lemon and lime, fresh grapefruit and gunpowder tea! It makes a smashing Martini and is tasty with tonic too.
Bright citrus and green tea notes are complemented by the spices.
Long time g&t drinker. Tried this in Dublin not expecting much but was blown away. Smooth ~ but complex aromatics. Has always been first choice for me from then on.
No bitterness, smooth, clearly a quality gin. If you're worried it tastes of Chinese gunpowder tea don't be concerned, it doesn't. Delicious with FeverTree tonic.
