The Kure Gin Bottling Note

An intensely floral gin from the chaps at The Lickerish Tooth in the North Yorkshire Moors, made with a selection of botanicals including lavender, cucumber, rocket and cardamom, among others. Nothing to do with that band. You know the one.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

A big wave of freshly picked lavender sits at the fore, backed up by fragrant citrus and a vegetal hint of cucumber.

very strong lavender gin

I love this gin, mixed with a normal tonic water and a slice of cucumber. Look forward to trying there other gins

Mix with care

So the two reviews below were also by me and I feel I need to balance this out as actually this gin is great - but careful mixing required- add normal tonic, not elderflower and lemon and fruit such as blackberries and it is delicious. Perhaps it was the two flower combo that made it taste bad with elderflower... anyway a more balanced review now!

Overwhelming pot pouri flavour

The taste is like pot pouri - very strong dry lavender dominates - but just about drinkable. Any advice on how to mix this to make it more palatable welcome.

Pot pouri is not nice to drink

I would not describe the lavender as tasting freshly picked- it’s a very overwhelming flavour that reminds me of pot pouri. Mixed with elderflower tonic and blueberries was drinkable - will try other combos e.g. cucumber but so far not a great experience.
