The Cambridge Distillery love a good bit of boundary-pushing, and they've done it again with their Truffle Gin, made using white truffle from Alba! Rich and subtly savoury, this is fascinating stuff indeed.
Thyme, a hint of dried citrus peels, menthol and petrichor.
Oily juniper, black pepper and continued earthy notes. Almost savoury at points!
Herbaceous notes of basil leaf and lemongrass last.

I can't believe this gin works. I was a bit dubious when I saw it, but it totally works. It smells delicately of white truffles but then in the mouth it tastes of... well, gin! Really amazing. Going to enjoy this after dinner.
Not really sure about this one - I had high hopes, given I love both gin and truffles generally, however the truffle and the alcohol collide both on the nose and the palate, giving this gin a rather 'petrol-like' character overall. Good if you want to have some diversity in your spirits cabinet and you cover the 10+ other available styles already, but doesn't really work straight and in the G&Ts I have tried (I didn't do any cocktails with it though).
