Get ready for a shot of nostalgia, as fairground fun has been captured in a bottle with Big Dipper Gin from That Boutique-y Gin Company, who have collaborated with fragrance specialist Lizzie Ostrom of Odette Toilette. As part of its sensory Olfactor-y range, the aromas of this gin encompass both the sweet treats and smoky machinery you'll find at the fair, while its larger than life label is almost brighter than the sun we can see setting in the distance.
Delightfully sweet and juicy orange and coriander seed provide a refined, warming citrus through waxy juniper. There’s plenty of crisp spice too from pepper, angelica and grains of paradise.
Gingerbread and cassia provide a hot, prickly backbone to the palate which also displays notes of sandalwood, fresh lemon and oak-y juniper warmth. Elderflower cordial and a lick of black liquorice form the backdrop.
There’s a fragrant and enjoyably woodsy element to the finish, with just a touch of lingering ginger.
