Introduced in 2000, Tanqueray No. Ten is named after the still of its origin, pot still number 10, which is quite endearingly nicknamed Tiny Ten. The small batch gin is crafted using whole fresh citrus fruits, such as oranges, limes and grapefruit, along with chamomile flowers and other traditional botanicals. Expect a burst of citrus with every sip. Quite notably, it is also the only gin to secure a spot in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition Hall of Fame. This iconic tipple makes a mean Martini.
Perfumed, aromatic nose with notes of tangy grapefruit zest, creamy custard and clean juniper.
A mix of incredibly clean, spicy juniper, hints of Earl Grey tea and cardamom. Very citrus-rich.
Long, zesty finish.

T10 is now my go-to gin if I need a more intense one - works fine in a Martini as well as in a g/t (with various tonics in my opinion). If you need a nice gin selection get the Beefeater, Hendricks, Plymouth and this one, and your bar should cover most basic varieties for a start.
A really great gin. Smooth and full of botanicals - easy to drink on it's own or with a mixer. Makes a great martini. This is now my favourite gin bar none.
On balance, given price, taste, versatility...this is the best gin on the market (apologies to Junipero, Plymouth, Sipsmith and Beefeater 24 - its across all these parameters that it wins, individually you may win on specific points)
One night in Dublin, completely by accident, I've found myself in Gin bar. We tasted more then 30 of the gins proposed by the experienced bartender and we have loved Tanqueray 10 the best. Next one was Gin Mare :)
