St. Giles Gin is the brainchild of Simon Melton, professional diver (and now gin composer), along with the help of head distiller Pete Margree and Anna, their copper still. They use a combination of 11 botanicals to create their desired flavour profile, including lemongrass, Grains of Paradise and rose petals.
Peppery juniper leads the charge, joined by fragrant hints of orange zest and earthy/floral elements on the mid-palate.
Great tasting, great lasting vanilla smooth taste rich in flavour highly recommended.
This is the second bottle from St Giles I have tried, having tried divers naval strength. I did not think this would be particularly to my taste. This is lighter full of flavour great citrus finish a fantastic London dry gin. Ice and a good tonic a wonderful gin. Not the cheapest but really worth it in my mind.
Stumbled across this gin after seeing all it’s excellent awards and reviews. This gin is super smooth. I can drink this neat over ice (though the wife enjoys with a tonic/lemonade too!)
A wonderful drop of gin, so crisp, a wonderful flavour that has reassured me that there are great gins out there. I will be back!
Not to my taste I’m afraid. Certainly too expensive for what it is.
