Smyth & O'Reilly

Silver Spear Gin is produced by Smith & O'Reilly in Carlow, Ireland, at the historic Ballydarton House. It's a particularly citrus-forward expression, with lime and coriander standing out among the botanicals (along with juniper, obviously). The name refers to the award given to John Henry Watson back in the 1800s for his triumphs in a competition of horsemanship.
Lime is prominent, but not overtly sour and tangy - simply enjoyably fruit forward. Leafy coriander helps it along, with juniper bringing classic peppery heat to the table and mellow hints of angelica giving it a soft vanilla touch.
