An elegant dry gin produced in the Netherlands by Rutte, using a recipe that features fennel as one of its ingredients, among other classic botanicals like juniper, coriander, orange peels and angelica. Citrus forward at first, though soon the juniper starts to develop earthy spice.
Deliciously creamy, with sparks of peppery juniper and deeply herbaceous fennel.
Light black pepper warmth lasts.
Currently my favorite Gin! Hendricks held the spot for awhile but Rutte is smooth and easier for me to enjoy with tonic.
