Poppies Gin comes to us via Belgium's family-owned Rubbens distillery, which has been producing jenever since the early 1800s! The legend behind this expression is that the recipe was created by an English solider who took part in the First World War, hence the name.
Juniper forward and richly herbaceous, with a kick of sweet liquorice at the core.

I bought a bottle of Poppies gin in Brugge eight years ago , a month before my 1st grandchild was born on a whim because my chosen grandfather name was to become Pops. I have just opened the bottle, why did I wait? I love the taste, the flavour is different, very moorish, smooth, delicious. I like a selection of original and craft gins but this beats the lot.
One of the nicest gins I’ve ever tried came across it in a chocolate shop in Belgium and have had maybe 40 bottles from then lol A1. 4star gin
I am a major (major) gin drinker and the aniseed aftertaste of this gin makes it unbelievably addictive ... shame the bottle is so small!!
I have tried many gins and I must say this is the best gin I have ever tasted. The flavour is amazing as well as the smell. Stunning gin.
My favourite, a delicious drink with a smooth taste, with just a hint of aniseed, would definitely recommend!
