From the Fifty Eight Gin Distillery in Hackney Downs comes the Distilled Sloe Gin. Unlike most sloe gins, this one features sloe berries that have been distilled - hence the name, and hence the lack of colour from the spirit. However, it still packs a full-bodied helping of juicy sloe deliciousness at its core, supported by pine-y juniper and fresh citrus acidity to cut through the sweetness.
Jammy sloe berry with a hint of brown sugar, followed by fresh juniper and lemon peel. Slowly building white pepper spiciness, but never overtakes the clean sloe sweetness.
Brilliant stuff, I tried at a foodie festival and it was one of best Gin's so unique and fresh tasting.
