Butter Gin?! Yep, you read that right, and it's exactly what it sounds like. This rather unique spirit from Portobello Road is made by distilling the signature gin one more time than usual, with a block of unsalted English butter added to this final distillation. Celebrated Butter Gin is part of a selection of spirits inspired styles of gin from times gone by. As expected, it boasts a velvety, buttery undertone, alongside all of that usual deliciousness.
Peppery juniper and clean citrus, with fragrant lemongrass and a fruity note, all against a velvety and, of course, buttery backdrop, which makes for a very smooth spirit.
Does taste a little creamier, made into one of their Paddington cocktails Portobello has on their website which was nice. Nice with just tonic though too.
