Lakeland Moon Gin hails from the Lake District, and while the botanical list is rather traditional, with Spanish orange and wild juniper in there, there is something quite unusual about the spirit. The juniper is harvested from the Lakeland Fells under a full moon! There's method to this madness, as according to the Old Farmer's Almanac, this is when the berries are at their most flavourful. After the night time harvest, it's distilled and blended with spring water from the Lake District National Park, brought down to 42.1% ABV.
A core of fragrant, piney juniper and a burst of sweet orange citrus, with liquorice sweetness and an earthy, spiced finish.
