From the Otterbeck Distillery in Yorkshire comes Cotton Gin. No, this isn't a machine that separates cotton fibres from its seeds. It is, however, a tasty gin made with the botanicals including Yorkshire watercress, coriander and spruce. The name comes from one of the machines used at the cotton and silk mill on the banks of the River Aire.
Enjoyably herbaceous, with the spruce really shining through, as well as a touch of vanilla.
Lovely in a gin and tonic and smooth enough to drink neat.
I bought this gin because I'd heard good things and love the bottle but was still surprised by how good it is! The best new gin I've tried in a long time and one to try if you like a proper gin!
