One Gin Classic Bottling Note

One is an ethical drinks brand, who in the past have released water and soft drinks, with the profits funding sustainable water projects in the world's poorest communities. One have released their own One Gin, with profits going towards the foundation's mission to raise £20 million for water projects. At least 10% of the profits fund the water projects in the world's poorest communities via The One Foundation. An incredibly worthwhile cause.

The London dry gin is made with a mixture of 9 classic gin botanicals, as well as a feature botanical - sage. The sage used is locally foraged from the grounds surrounding the distillery, and adds an intriguing savoury edge to the gin, carried by the brilliant mouth feel stemming from the seven-times-filtration method used after distillation. Alongside the sage you'll find notes of angelica root, nutmeg, orange peel, lemon peel, liquorice, orris, coriander, cassia and juniper. There's a hidden element to the eye-catching bottle too – once you've finished the delicious gin, remove the label to reveal an engraving of the word "Water", so you've got a smart carafe for the table at dinnertime! A superb example of reusing instead of recycling.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Vanilla-forward at first, with hints of fresh lemon and a touch of cassia. Juniper sweetness is handsomely juxtaposed with the earthy sage, and a prickle of cinnamon heat brings further complexity to the table.

One Gin Classic Reviews

Delicious & a brand that does good

This has just become by favourite gin. More savoury led than most I’ve tried. Makes a cracking G&T with a twist of orange zest. What a great cause too.

A special occasion Gin. One for sharing

It’s sweet, but amazing over ice and a slice of lime and a snap of fresh mint out of the garden.
We also tried it mixed with ginger ale.
We loved it.
But a little over priced.

It’s ok

Basic, overpriced, I find it too sweet and simple

Crisp

My favourite gin by a country mile. Putting aside the fact that their profits go to charity this gin is still simply incredible. So crisp and refreshing they have a solid product here.

Perfect Valentine's Day gift

Spent ages looking for the perfect Valentine's Day gift and finally found it. A stunning bottle, delicious gin and it gives back to charity. Nailed it this year.

Special G&T

This is my go to gin for a G&T now. They recommend adding an apple slice and sage life - which makes a pretty special drink for at home

Favourite new gin

Got this from a friend at Christmas, and about to buy another as we've nearly finished it already! Love that it funds water projects too.
