Needle
A dry, spicy gin produced at the Bimmerle distillery in Achern, Germany. It is made using a tasty recipe of hand-picked botanicals, including juniper, lavender, ginger, lemons and oranges, allspice, cinnamon and (of course) spruce needles.
Bucketloads of forest flavours, spruce needles, juniper, mossy tones with a background of citrus notes. A dry and spicy finish, spruce needles returning.

Brought this to a gathering, and it was very well received, with one person saying it was the best gin he had ever tasted. Compelling nose of spruce intrigued even the non-drinkers. Tasted neat, the spruce dominates, and a little heat closes off the finish, but add a bit of tonic and the juniper wakes up and comes into play at the middle to end. Quite clearly speaks of its home in the Black Forest. Pair this with a more citrus-forward gin like Bluecoat for a tasting that your guests will find memorable.
My absolute favourite. What a shame Aldi no longer stock this wonderful gin. So many flavours, so smooth. So easy to drink that one is never enough! I used to love Dr.Js but have been converted, and now I cannot obtain any anywhere!!...
I would not be be bold enough to attempt to identify the taste of this gin, it is absolutely wonderfully smooth to drink and loves my palate.
Fantastic smooth gin full of flavour, it’s currently stocked in ALDI at £14 for 50cl I’m a buying a few bottles.
