A Spanish gin made using 12 botanicals which are distilled five times. Larios 12 is made with botanicals including wild juniper, nutmeg, angelica root, coriander, Mediterranean lemon, orange, tangerine, mandarin, clementine, grapefruit, lime and orange blossom. Wait a minute... One, two, three... There's 12 of them! Just like in the name! What a coincidence! This is a citrus-heavy gin, so go in expecting big helpings of lemon and orange notes. Ought to do very well in mixed drinks, and any cocktails that really love citrusy deliciousness - perhaps a Gimlet...?
Tangy, aromatic nose with huge citrus notes. Fresh flowers and herbs too.
Herbal and very spicy with an abundance of citrus zest in all forms, as well as blossom, potpourri and cardamom.
Coriander, juniper, and a final flourish of fresh citrus.
Gin - blagh, until I was served Larios and Grenadine as a digestif. I absolutely loved it.
Always loved Latinos gin. Then this year at Xmas on our return from tenerife the airport had the new 12, so I got a couple of them and a couple of the regular one, both litres, and at exceptional cheep prices. 12 in my mind to me is far superior to Bombay sapphire. And for anyone interested regular Latinos is delicious with cucumber instead of lemon.
I purchased this quite by accident. Surprised at the complexity of the mix of botanicals. Mixed with Dolin dry vermouth [10-ml], and a twist of lemon, it makes a prefect Martini.
I think it's amazing, with fever tree tonic awesome
