The Isle of Wight Distillery has created a vibrant variation of it's excellent Mermaid Gin, boasting a delightfully sweet flavour profile and rosy hue thanks to an infusion of Island strawberries! These tasty little rascals make for an intriguing juxtaposition with the botanicals already in the mix, including the subtly savoury rock samphire, the herbaceous Boadicea hops and the zesty Sicilian lemon. Smashing in a G&T garnished with strawberries.
Light and bright, the strawberry notes arrive right away, supported by citrus and slowly building juniper spice. Samphire gives is a coastal edge, while hints of liquorice root and coriander develop later on.
I have tried every pink gin on the market, I’ve tasted a wide range of high end gins. This is by far my fave. It is subtle and sublime. Ignore the negative reviews. I live in Yorkshire, discovered this gin in Cornwall last September and have drank 7 bottles since! I too have to hide it because guests look for this gin first! Amazing
Was brought for me, this is a beautiful gin, and has become my favourite, I have to hide it at the back of the drinks cabinet, (everybody looks for it)
Crikey! Who did the Mermaid upset in Nov?? It’s delicious, very easy to enjoy, slight sweetness and salty samphire, served with raspberries and blueberries.
There is most definitely trolling happening for this brand as this Gin is certainly not chemically in any way nor is it overly sweet... If you don't believe me look on Amazon (Before the troll changes their direction) 5 Stars for over 800 reviews... Get yourself a little bottle, tonic and lemon or lime and you won't be disappointed. P.S. I neither work for the company nor live on the IOW!!!
