The Isle of Wight Distillery has created a vibrant variation of it's excellent Mermaid Gin, boasting a delightfully sweet flavour profile and rosy hue thanks to an infusion of Island strawberries! These tasty little rascals make for an intriguing juxtaposition with the botanicals already in the mix, including the subtly savoury rock samphire, the herbaceous Boadicea hops and the zesty Sicilian lemon. Smashing in a G&T garnished with strawberries.
Light and bright, the strawberry notes arrive right away, supported by citrus and slowly building juniper spice. Samphire gives is a coastal edge, while hints of liquorice root and coriander develop later on.

I find the taste rather “artificial “. Also too sweet for me. Won’t be buying it again I’m afraid.
I am not big drinker but this is lovely a really smooth drink and perfect for a sunny day - the bottle is really pretty too.

Strawberry wafts as you pour and teases your nose as you sip. It's deliciously smooth and slightly fruity without going overly sweet. Both the Pink Gin and original Mermaid Gin are well worth buying and very smooth, but this is unbelievably alluring to me. The strawberry is fresh as can be without any synthetic hint, which attests to the quality of the strawberries used. On top of all that, the bottle is gorgeous and one I will certainly keep for displaying my infusions or extracts. It's well worth the 2 hour drive for me to restock!
