A gin with a sense of place, being made with Isle of Wight rock samphire and Boadicea hops alongside juniper, coriander seeds, fresh lemon zest, grains of paradise, angelica, liquorice, orris and elderflower.
Earthy sweetness and some citrus zing with a touch of sea air and warming pepper.

I really do enjoy trying different gins from all over the world but this one wasn’t to my taste.
The right mixer and ice goes down nicely But probably wouldn’t buy it again now tried.
Not to my liking, we do usually visit the Isle of Wight but we missed out on our trip. We have never tasted their gin so we ordered a bottle of mermaid for a taster. This wasn’t to our liking unfortunately, none of the flavours came across except a little coriander was to harsh on the throat tasted more like vodka.
Recieved a bottle of this fantastic gin for my 50th birthday...love it ..being a caulk head now living in Essex it is lovely to have a taste from my roots...also a great bottle to boot.
Was expecting a more flavourful gin found it very harsh.
