Inspired by a moonlit evening tending botanicals in the hothouse, Hendrick's master distiller Lesley Gracie has made Lunar Gin, a warming, spicy expression well suited to sipping while in the evening. Subtle peppery sparks, fragrant citrus oils and floral wafts abound here.
Softly peppery, with lavender, hibiscus and rose giving it a solid floral core.
Spicy but mellow juniper, lemongrass and rosewater. A touch of orange flesh develops in the background.
Cardamom, vanilla, orange once again, lemongrass.
Basically, this gin does exactly what the original does but makes it sharper and brighter whilst keeping the cucumber base element. The vanilla is a welcome addition and at 43.4 it has nice firm but subtle kick!. Not perfect, as the cucumber thing is not for everybody. Personally i think it's much better than the original as the regular Hendricks gets a bit cucumbery bland after a while!!.
This is the most beautiful tasting gin I've tried .How it tastes so mellow take my word for it you need to try it ?
An absolute classic. Beautiful gin, and the tasting notes were bang on. This has definitely jumped to the top of my favourites list
