Hendrick’s is something of a household name. Perhaps you've heard of it? This terrific Scottish gin is made using two different stills - the Bennett stillsteeps its botanicals overnight before distillation, while the Carter-Head has its botanicals in a basket up in the still neck, steaming them gently. It features the likes of juniper, cubeb berries, elderflower, chamomile, angelica, lemon peel, orange peel, coriander, yarrow and orris, alongside an infusion of cucumber and rose petal. If you're making a G&T with this, it just has to be garnished with a ribbon of cucumber.
Big, creamy aromas right off the bat, with a little zesty citrus, juniper, rose petal jelly and cucumber.
Astoundingly fresh notes of cucumber with juniper, oak, a touch more citrus and vanilla. Creamy and savoury.
A long, refreshing, floral finish.

GIN, of all spirits, is possibly the hardest to get 'right'. Ratio's of this and that and strength and maceration.... the list goes on! I think THIS is a happy-medium in the spectrum of what it can be. It is NOT accentuated in any direction, rather refined and basic. If you like convention, it is for you.
I love the notes of cucumber and rose petal. I read somewhere that Fever Tree tonic water goes really well with this. Having tried it, with a couple of slices of cucumber, I can confirm that this is true. :)
Good gin, very refreshing. But nothing special
Awesome but too expensive
Would be a really nice choice if it was half the price. You could get gins 5 times better with the same amount of money. Apart from the price another complain is that its a bit weak. The moment tonic touches the gin it loses most of its characteristics , something that doesn't happen with most gins.
