An excellent Irish gin made using 13 botanicals, taking inspiration from the walled garden in Dublin's Phoenix Park, including geranium, blackberry and lavender. The name itself comes from the Ha'penny Bridge over the River Liffey in the centre of Dublin.
Lemon pith and sweet juniper jump out of the glass, backed up by floral wafts of lavender. A hint of black pepper sticks around the in background.

Absolutely delicious, my son worked for Alltech the company that own Halfpenny Distillery. He brought a bottle and we drank the lot in a couple of hours. There is no trace of that oily bitter taste that so many gins have.
