One of two new additions to the Greenall's Gin range - the first in more than 250 years! Greenall's Wild Berry Gin is made by infusing raspberries and British blackberries in Greenall's Gin, resulting in a fruity twist on their classic recipe. Ought to go rather well in a Bramble as well as other vibrantly fruity cocktails.
Yikes, this was not a good gin. My first thought and it still stands - it tastes like a cheap wild berry flavour vodka, it has such a bite. I taste a wide range of gins and a lot more classic, but not many with the fruit flavour and this was NOT for me. Perhaps if you are into flavoured vodka / vodka drinks, you might make it work.
I recently went to a gin festival, I hadn't come across flavoured gins before, but had always been a fan of flavoured vodka. I brought a bottle Greenall's Wild Berry Gin on a whim, mainly due to it's reasonable price. Served cold, mixed with Feverfew tonic and garnished with Boozy Berries, it's as good as any of the gin I sampled at the festival, which were more than double the price.
I have always enjoyed sloe and raspberry gins, but never found a brand that I liked; have always liked Greenalls gin (as a cheap alternative to preferred brand x Greenalls Berry sounded promising, and fulfilled its promise
