Unlike any other gin, this offering from FEW Spirits is made using white whiskey (un-aged Bourbon) instead of more conventional neutral spirits which gives it a completely unique character!
FEW Spirits hails from Evanston in the United States of America, a city that suffered Prohibition for over one hundred years thanks to many of its advocates hailing from its dry streets. Thankfully Evanston is now home to this excellent craft distillery which takes its name ironically from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a key figure in the Temperance Movement.
The aroma is vibrant with lemon zest and a blast of juniper.
Vanilla sweetness with chewy juniper and top notes of lemon.
Clean and tidy with a rewarding freshness.
A refreshing gin that works handsomely in many a cocktail.
Had many, many gins from around the world and was eager to try this but I was immediately put off by its aroma and then the taste. We’re all different but this one is not for me.
We had this in our Master of Malt Christmas advent calendar. Lovely unexpected treat. Sweet and fragrant rather like candy. Loved it
I’m no gin connoisseur, but I’ve tasted many guns from around the world. If anyone gives you this, put it someplace it truly belongs; in the toilet.
This is not your typical gin, with that said it is very well done. Does drink with more flavors of a tequila than a gin, more sweet corn notes than botanical notes. Great for a unique twist on a gin and tonic or any gin cocktail. If you are a fan of good liquor, give it a try.
This smells just like a trip to the fairground. Popcorn and rich sweet butter all the way.
