This is a special edition gin that was made just for Christmas by Eden Mill. Fans may remember the first incarnation of this product was featured in the Scottish-based distiller's 12 Days of Christmas gift set and Christmas cracker. However, Eden Mill has decided to spread even more Christmas cheer this year with this 70cl bottle edition.
The inspiration behind this festive gin is obviously the seasonal sweet treat that it was named after. Appropriately, peppermint was used as a botanical to match the minty flavour of candy canes, while bilberry and hibiscus provide the traditional red colour. They recommend you pair Eden Mill Candy Cane Christmas Gin with a premium tonic and garnish with blackberries and, of course, a candy cane!
Delicately sweet with crisp menthol notes among juicy berry fruits, subtle juniper and a zesty, peppery conclusion.
I tried this at a gintasting and was a bit sceptical, because I'm not particularily fond of mint, but it tasted like christmas, what a lovely surprice. More like a cocktail than an actual GT, but I liked it.
Absolutely love this, with tonic and a candy cane... as it dissolves the flavour changes. Real surprise this one.
Not sure what I tasted.
Very much like toothpaste , not worth the money highly disappointed
Very very mouthwash taste. We bought this at the airport expecting it to be sweet like candy, it’s just very very minty. Would not buy again.
