A crisp, tasty, London Dry Gin created by Wemyss! Darnley's is named after the time when Mary Queen of Scots first met her future husband Lord Darnley at Wemyss Castle in 1565.
Rounded and creamy with angelica, lemon and elderflower. A burst of spicy coriander appears after a minute.
Lemon and soft juniper, with the elderflower making another appearance.
Earthy orris and coriander notes last.
I know this one has been around for ages but I just discovered it. Love the way it looks which made me buy it in the first place but it tastes amazing too. Not sweet and flavoured, just simple.
I found their regular gin smooth and delicious and their spiced gin complex and surprisingly punchy. Verymuch to my taste. Nice stuff.
Too much elderflower on the nose for me. Nicely made gin...well crafted...just not my style of botanicals.
