Conscious Co.
Here we have a British gin with a sustainable mission! Conscious Co. Gin is distilled in Yorkshire, and the base spirit makes use of surplus potatoes from the distillery farm that would otherwise go to waste due to their size or shape. Then, it's flavoured with six traditional botanicals alongside locally grown rosemary, basil and bay. Plus, there's no plastic used in the packaging whatsoever - even the label is compostable!
Gentle citrus leads into vibrant, fresh and herbaceous notes, with a dry, peppery juniper finish.

From the description this sounded so promising, I love herbaceous gins but I couldn't finish a glass, it's what I imagine nail varnish remover tastes like. For all it's merits I wanted to love this, but does not taste nice unfortunately. I don't know if that's the potatoes or something else, I've had another potatoe based gin before and that tasted very different to this one. Possible I got a bad bottle?
I really loved this gin. As a rather keen Gin drinker I loved so many aspects of this gin. Flavour, smell, lasting taste and massively the zero plastic package and processing. Renewable energy and really low food miles just ticked all my boxes. A superb new gin that is now one of my favourites.
